Shipping costs are non-refundable. All items are shipped via standard UPS Ground with insurance covering only the cost of the item purchased, unless otherwise requested. Shipping insurance rates will be determined if the additional shipping option is requested.
Woodenpatriots.com does not assume responsibility for lost, damaged, or stolen packages. We will assist with filing an insurance claim through UPS if purchased items arrive damaged.
If you request a return, you are responsible for return shipping costs. Woodenpatriots.com will only accept items returned in the same condition they were received.
For returns over $100, we recommend you use a trackable shipping service or purchasing additional shipping insurance. We will only issue a refund when the item is returned in the condition it was shipped.
Custom Flag Return Policy. Due to the custom nature of these projects, we do not offer refunds or returns for the following items:
- Any piece with a name, rank, or custom laser engraving.
- Any piece that is not currently listed on Woodenpatriots.com as an active item for sale.
Common Flag Return Policy. If you choose to receive a refund, the original cost of shipping and a 15% restocking fee will be deducted from your refunded amount.

What Happens If I Receive a Damaged Item?
All of our items are shipped with insurance to cover the cost of the product purchased. We address damaged items on a case by case basis and will assist in filing a claim with UPS Ground.
Once the claim is approved, Woodenpatriots.com will expedite a replacement for your damaged item.
How long does it take to make my flag?
All of our products are completely handmade. Our team does our best to get each order out as quickly as possible. Due to high demand, customized pieces do take longer to create. Currently, our standard wooden flags usually ship in 5-7 business days. Customized pieces can take up to two weeks once layout and details are approved.
Can I Request a Specific Type of Wood for My Product?
Yes. Let us know what kind of wood you would like and we will inquire with our local lumber providers to ensure wood availability and market price.
We do have the ability to use customer-supplied wood. In this case, shipping is the customer’s responsibility. We need to inspect the wood via well documented pictures or videos prior to shipping. Wood will need to be aged and dried to a moisture level between 6% and 8%. If the wood is received at a level above the acceptable percentage, we will not be able to use the material until desired moisture level is achieved.
Are the flag sizes exact?
All of our flags are hand made and custom built. No two flags are the same, so there may be some variance in the size depending on how it's measured. All sizes are approximate and we do our best to get it as close as we can. Our signature wavy wooden flags contain curves, causing some dimensions to vary. We are sure you'll love your flag though!
